Liner Notes

Strolling Down A Sunny Stretch Of Beach

Can you feel the sand between your toes?

Can you smell the sea?

Can you hear the waves a'rolling in?

Strolling down a sunny stretch of beach

Do you love to splash along the shore?

Clouds just out of reach

Won't you come and play with me today?

Strolling down a sunny stretch of beach

I miss your hand in mine, I miss your kiss

I long to have you hold me tight, but it's you I really miss

I like to drag my toes along the sand

With you I long to be

Sea gulls singing out a song of love

Strolling down a sunny stretch of beach

I miss your hand in mine, I miss your kiss

I long to have you hold me tight, but it's you I really miss

Will you hold my hand and walk awhile?

Take a stroll with me?

Won't you come and play away the day?

Strolling down a sunny stretch of beach

Won't you come and play away the day?

Strolling down a sunny stretch of beach

Strolling down a sunny stretch of beach

Just a strolling down a sunny stretch of beach

Thanks to Charles Smith for bass, Kristin Kanady on soprano backup vocals, Dwayne Salter on piano, and me on guitar and vocals. This is such a happy little song about the sunny seaside of life. I wrote it while playing chords to check out the sound system one Sunday morning.

This song also appears on the album called Will This Town Survive? The picture for the single is not of a beach, but it is of my parents taking a Sunday stroll in Panama shortly after they were married.
